TURBO IS GO!

Written by Kellie King

I would like to introduce you all to Turbo, our very first robot in Bupa. Turbo is a great helper to the Digital Growth team and helps them get their work finished each day. Turbo is super-fast and is able to do as much work as you give it, and the bonus is there are no errors or downtime. Turbo can follow a process and enter data into numerous systems in a repeatable fashion and it never complains that there is too much work to do. The more the merrier to Turbo.

The Digital Growth Team love working with Turbo, it has his own user id and password and “we treat Turbo as part of the team”, says Chloe Stephens who was the Project Specialist on getting Turbo to the first day of work. The team think it’s great having a robot to do all the things that distract them from having more meaningful conversations with their customers.

In Turbo’s first month at Bupa it’s processed 462 transactions and firing through them. Nick Blatt, General Manager, Digital Growth team sees that Turbo can help his team get through peak trading periods of March, April and June, that they would normally struggle to keep up with demand. “We can put as many robots as we like on a process and we don’t have to do retraining.” Once Turbo knows what to do it can teach its robot friends and they can all work together.

Turbo is a great resource and has 5 new friends ready to be put into production. If you have any suggestions for a good name for the next robots, let me know.

Please join me in welcoming Turbo to the Bupa family.
